Crunch Time

No more excuses - this time it's war
Susan Weiner

The clock is ticking! With only 1-month to go before the boot camp I'm attending in Los Angeles I cannot make any more excuses for not getting myself on a consistent exercise routine.

Trust me; I have used every excuse imaginable over the past few weeks - from feeling a cold coming on, to having a crimp in my neck, to work and family obligations. The one constant that has kept me from totally throwing in the towel has been my support network, both offline as well as online. The messages I receive from the MindBodySanctuary readers, as well as the Catapult Fitness Blog readers are incredibly motivating and truly make me feel accountable. I simply do not want to let any of you down and not be able to complete this darn boot camp! So, for the next month I am 100% re-committed to this process. My training schedule will be:

Monday: Push-up training; circuit training

Tuesday: Spin Class

Wednesday: Push-up training; circuit training

Thursday: Spin Class

Friday: Push-up training; circuit training

Saturday: High intensity interval training

Sunday: rest

I find it extremely helpful to have put a schedule in place. This way I don't need to think about what needs to be done, I just need to go do it. Oh, last but certainly not least, I am finishing up week 3 of the Hundred Push-Up Challenge. Yesterday I completed 20 consecutive push-ups, which is a personal best. I know that it nowhere near 100, but I'm thrilled with the progress. How is everyone doing? Write and let me know!

Train hard; stay strong.

Susan you really had me going girl. I thought you had reached the 100 push up mark. I just could not see how you accomplished that feat. But girl you really had me sweating trying to catch up with you and this was great. It motivated me to say if she can do it so can I. I will celebrate my 58th birthday this December and I am proud to say that this week I made the 20 push up mark. The push ups have made me feel more toghether, tighetned my chest and stomach muscles and given me a feeling of power which I didn't realize I still had. Between you and my older sister who has spoken new life in me I feel like a 30 year old. Keep the sweat coming!!!!!!

Keep up the good work - and stick to your schedule. You'll find boot camp very structured and schedule demanding!

My husband was a master fitness trainer in the Army - and he could still out go the young guys.

You'll find thatyour fitness now will be a huge benefit when you get older!

Thanks for the encouragement everyone!! It helps so much to know that I'm not in this alone!

Here's an update - I took my first spin class yesterday! For now, all I can say is "ouch". I'll provide more details next week after I get another class under my belt :)

Train hard; stay strong.
