Getting To Know Me

Bootcamp was everything I expected and more

Bootcamp was everything I hoped it would be and more, both physically and spiritually.

The Made In LA Fitness Trainers raised the bar regarding the intensity of our workouts. We trained both Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 5 pm and workouts included:

We were pushed, and pushed and then pushed harder. Just when you thought you could not complete one more push-up, there was a trainer next to you making certain you not only completed one more, but several more repetitions.

There were plenty of times this past weekend when I simply wanted to give up. However, neither the trainers nor my fellow bootcamp participants would allow for that to happen.

This is where the all important social network I often harp about came in to play. My fellow bootcamp participants were nothing less than awe-inspiring and they made me accountable. They wouldn't let me quit, and I would do just about anything not to disappoint them.

This weekend left me with a feeling of renewed energy and helped me to realize while I still have a long way to go, I've come a long way from where I have been.

This weekend made me realize I don't want to simply write about fitness and nutrition; I want to make certain I continue to practice what I preach. As a result, I will be continuing my journey and education.

This weekend made me a better person.

Train hard; stay strong.

Peace.
